Toyota HILUX goes Electric ! | Auto Live #toyota #hilux #toyotahilux
The all-new, ninth-generation Hilux now packs a full battery-electric (BEV) variant for the first time, using a 59.2 kWh lithium-ion battery and dual e-axles for permanent all-wheel drive. It delivers torque of about 205 Nm at the front axle and 268.6 Nm at the rear, with a WLTP-rated driving range of roughly 240 km. Despite going electric, Hilux retains its rugged body-on-frame construction, off-road ready architecture, wading depth, and strong payload/towing capacities — about 715 kg payload and up to 1,600 kg towing in BEV form. Inside, the EV Hilux brings modern touches: a fully digital 12.3-inch instrument cluster, a large central touchscreen, wireless charging, connected-car features, and a refreshed cabin design — a significant leap over previous generations. The new model continues with the trusted traits of the Hilux — strength, off-road durability, and versatility — but now wrapped in a zero-emissions, tech-forward package.
