Hyundai Motor India is set to introduce its luxury marque, Genesis, to the Indian market by late 2025. This move aims to tap into the growing premium automotive segment, which is experiencing increased demand due to rising affluence and a shift towards differentiated ownership experiences. Genesis plans to launch a range of models, including sedans like the G70, G80, and G90, as well as SUVs such as the GV70, GV80, and GV90. The brand will also offer electric vehicles, including the GV60, Electrified G80, and Electrified GV70, featuring advanced technology and luxury features. Initially, Genesis vehicles will be imported as Completely Built Units (CBUs), with plans to explore local assembly in the future to enhance competitiveness The brand will adopt a digital-first retail approach, focusing on curated brand experiences and premium customer engagement, moving away from traditional dealership-led sales models. Hyundai's strategy for Genesis in India involves a long-term commitment to the luxury market, with plans to introduce 26 new models by 2030, including both internal combustion engine vehicles and electric vehicles.
