Suzuki GSX-R1000R 40th Anniversary Edition Revealed | Auto Live
Suzuki has unveiled the GSX‑R1000R 40th Anniversary Edition to celebrate four decades of the GSX‑R lineage. The bike features a Euro‑5+ compliant 999.8 cc inline‑four engine, now tuned with a higher 13.8:1 compression ratio, larger throttle bodies, stronger internals, and revised injectors for cleaner emissions and maintained peak output of ≈195 hp & 110 Nm torque. Visually, it stands out with three retro‑inspired liveries—Blue/White, Red/White and Yellow/Matt Blue—all with unique 40th anniversary badging, retro “R” graphics, subtle cosmetic touches on the exhaust, clutch, magneto covers and wheels. The electronics suite is upgraded: six‑axis IMU, lean‑sensitive ABS, traction control, launch control, ride‑by‑wire, bi‑directional quick‑shifter etc. Suspension remains Showa USD front forks and mono‑shock at rear; brakes are Brembo monoblocs up front with 320mm discs. It’s a striking blend of race‑bred tech and nostalgic design.
