The Matter Aera is India’s pioneering electric motorcycle with a 4‑speed manual gearbox (HyperShift), introduced by Ahmedabad‑based startup Matter Motors in 2025. It uses a liquid‑cooled powertrain and a 5 kWh battery pack delivering approximately 125‑172 km real‑world range depending on ride mode and conditions.  The motor puts out ~10 kW and Aera sprints from 0‑40 km/h in under 2.8 seconds, making it punchy for urban rides.  Features include three ride modes (Eco, City, Sport), a 7‑inch touchscreen dashboard, IP67 protection, dual disc brakes with ABS, and smart connectivity via the Matterverse app. Priced around ₹ 1.74‑1.93 lakh (ex‑showroom) depending on variant and city.
