Ahead of the 18th BRICS Summit in India, several prominent world leaders are arriving in New Delhi. Russian President Vladimir Putin reached the national capital on September 11 and is scheduled to hold a key bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The talks are expected to cover major areas of India-Russia cooperation, including defence, energy, trade, technology and strategic partnership. The Modi-Putin meeting is being closely watched as an important moment for strengthening the longstanding India-Russia relationship ahead of the BRICS Summit.
