The upcoming Nissan Tekton and 2026 Renault Duster are set to be strong new entrants in India’s mid-size SUV segment, both built on the modern CMF-B platform. The Nissan Tekton, expected to launch in mid-2026, brings a bold, Patrol-inspired design with C-shaped LEDs, muscular stance and a premium cabin likely featuring a large touchscreen and advanced tech. It is expected to use a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine with the possibility of AWD on higher variants. The new Renault Duster, debuting on 26 January 2026, combines rugged styling with modern features such as a 10.1-inch touchscreen, digital cluster, wireless connectivity, 360° camera and ADAS. It will also offer the same 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine, with a strong-hybrid option planned later, making it a more future-ready and tech-loaded choice.
